"Hard-Core-Survivalist-Doomer" . . . LOL . . . flattery will get you everywhere. Again thank you for providing me with a copy of your book, I really enjoyed it. Now I just need to talk the wife into letting me buy chickens!

I'm growing roots, both figuratively and literally, in the suburbs of southern Maine with Deus Ex Machina, our great kids, a flock of suburban chickens, some whacky ducks, and a herd of rabbits.
In this eminently practical and thoughtful book, Wendy Brown takes on the challenge of exploring the options for surviving and thriving through hard times in the suburbs, and carries it off with aplomb. Highly recommended!
The Gutenberg Project has compiled a database of some 30,000 books with expired copyrights, digitized them, and entered them into the public domain. These books are available for free download from the website.
If you missed reading the classics when you were in school, this is a good opportunity to get a free copy to read.

Show her a PETA video of Decoster egg farm. She'll agree ... if she likes eggs ;).
But be careful. I hear chickens are the "gateway drug" to a whole yardful of farm animals. Goats are usually next.
Bon chance!
