And Today in the Northeast

What cool girls from Maine do for fun ...

... hit snowballs with sticks.

And please note the very stylish fashion statement of Precious, my youngest, who is sporting her short-sleeved pink camouflage shirt under her pink snowpants, and of course, the requisite gloves.

It's cold outside, afterall ;).

  1. Oh, to be young again and play in the snow with our snow pants. Now, I'm afraid of falling down and breaking something. Precious is growing so fast and the fiery fairy has a big day coming up. Is she excited?

  2. Hahaha. So it's not just my kids? My kids constantly swear "it's not THAT cold out" when I attempt to bundle them up. And it must not be. My four yr old runs around shirtless and sockless all day long despite the thermostat being set at 66.

  3. Sigh. I can't wait til I live in a place where you can justify getting away with adult sized snow pants.

  4. Funny you say that, Bezzie, because last night my girls were worrying over some thing or other that they didn't have, and I said, "Did I ever tell you about my first pair of snowpants?" Then, I told them that they're purple ... and hanging with the coats. I never had snowpants until ... well, now - not that I use them that often ;).

Yes, Tammy, she does have a special day coming up soon ... as do you ;).

Same here, Carla. They're in barefeet and leotards running about the house on the cold floor. I don't know how they do it.

  5. I know the boy is getting older because he actually complains about being cold occasionally now; he's 12 now and will be a teenager in a few months maybe that has something to do with it. The girl at 6 has never complained about being cold - unless her glove fell off outside playing.
